A Natural History of the Senses Relief Sculpture

The Meditation Station

Wood, Fabric scraps, Trim scraps, Spray paint, and Nails

7" x 6" x 14"

This sculpture visually communicates ideas about meditation and the power of color and sound. I used scraps of fabric organized in the order of the chakra colors, along with sacred geometric patterns and the use of a sound bowl to create a meditative experience for the viewer. I believe it's important to spread the knowledge of the power of color and sound because it can be used in a lot of different areas of one's life, along with the fact that it can be useful to a wide range of people.
